Police in Katwe are investigating a dramatic case of aggravated robbery and malicious damage after musician Mayanja Pius, alias Pallaso, and his group allegedly raided the residence of fellow artist Patrick Mulwana, alias Alien Skin, in Kisungu Zone, Makindye Division, Kampala District.
“Preliminary investigations suggest that the reporter (Alien) and the suspect had a disagreement while performing at a venue in Buloba, Wakiso District,” said Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango.
“The dispute escalated, leading to the attack on Alien Skin’s residence,” he added.
According to police reports, the incident unfolded in two separate attacks on January 2, 2025, and left a trail of destruction, including a burnt Range Rover and significant damage to multiple vehicles and homes.
Onyango said the first attack occurred at 3:00am.
Pallaso and his group, “reportedly armed with pangas, pit axes, hammers, and stones, stormed Alien Skin’s residence in Kisungu Zone,” said Onyango, adding that Officers from Makindye Police Station responded swiftly and succeeded in repelling the attackers.
The suspects returned at around 9:00 am on Thursday, mounting a far more destructive assault. Amid the chaos, a Range Rover belonging to Alien Skin was set ablaze.
Four other motor vehicles suffered shattered windshields and broken lights. Three houses on the property had windows smashed, leaving shards of glass strewn about. Six million Ugandan shillings in cash was reportedly stolen.
Police say three individuals—Alien Skin, Nyanzi Joseph, and Mugabi Julius—were directly affected by the raid. Two victims are currently receiving treatment at Mengo Hospital for injuries sustained during the attacks.
