Not Everyone Needs to Write a Book: Grace Khan Declines Qute Kaye’s Addiction Book Launch Invite

Singer Grace Khan, real name Grace Namuwulya, has opened up on the different avenues she has used to spread awareness about addictions that are slowly consuming the youth, especially in the entertainment industry.

During her interview with Spark TV, Grace Khan was tasked to react to Qute Kaye’s request to all artists who have suffered different forms of addiction to join him on his book launch, addressing the same. This was intended to raise awareness and explore ways for them to move forward and maintain sobriety. 

Grace Khan credited him for his efforts in helping others who have suffered the same fate. She, however, made it clear that she wouldn’t be attending because she attends other programs like Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other.

“I do not know about him, but I have been attending the A. A (Alcoholics Anonymous), a rehabilitation program. Ever since I left rehab, I have been consistently attending and joining my friends. We made groups after we left rehab, and we keep on going,” she noted.

As a person who has fought a big consuming battle with alcohol addiction for more than five years, Grace Khan revealed that she has found different ways to let people know about addictions and how they could conquer them.

Unlike most people who wish to tell their recovery stories in records, she is doing it through music and loving the way the message is being delivered to the listeners.

“If he wrote a book, that would be nice. But the addiction gospel is spread in different ways that anyone can. Personally, I used my new song to create awareness of how God can handle alcohol addiction. When someone listens to that, they will have faith that they can get through it. addiction needs to be tackled in different ways that you personally understand. We thank God if he did that,” she said
