Events Promoter Nobat Events, real name Norbert Twezire, was arrested and detained at Natete Police Station yesterday on cases related to cyberbullying.
According to Nalongo Kitone, she received a call from Nobat in the afternoon, saying he was reporting himself to the police after the summons sent to him earlier.
When I got there, he was still making statements for all those files. The policeman handling the case was very tough and didn’t even let Nobat’s lawyers speak.
People indeed get arrested, but it won’t stop them from speaking their truths. Why isn’t Kenzo in prison for speaking about Bebe Cool? It is horrible to misuse your authority and waste it on the less fortunate. Fight with your fellows in the same grade.
During his Police visit, Nobat recorded several statements. Among the people who had filed cases were Eddy Kenzo, who had filed 8 cases; Jose Chameleone, who had filed 3 cases; and Lady Mariam, who also had a pending case against him at the station.
A couple of months back, Jose Chameleone issued a cease and desist order to Nobat, cautioning him to stop the constant attacks in him and his family.
He promised that if he didn’t stop, he would sue him for the baseless claims he had made during several media interviews.

Nobat, however, took it as a joke, and the next day, he was on an interview, assuring Chameleone that there was nothing he could do about it.
For Eddy Kenzo’s case, they had been involved in a back and forth for a longtime with Nobat accusing the UNMF president of embezzlement of the federation funds.
Lady Mariam’s case against Nobat stems from their media fight where he insulted her for defending Hon. Nyamutooro against his statements involving her in their fight with Kenzo.
