Nakku Fiona on why she should be voted National Female Youth MP

Date:

Fiona Nakku is a dynamic, passionate, and God-fearing leader. She is vying for the position of National Female Youth Member of Parliament for the 2026–2031 term.

With a heart for service and a vision for change, Nakku says she is ready to champion the aspirations of Uganda’s youth on a national stage. It is not her first foray into politics,

In 2021, Nakku courageously contested for the position of Woman MP for Busia but she lost. Nonetheless, she used the election to showcase her commitment to public service. Since then, her determination and resilience have only grown stronger.

Nakku comes from a political family. She is the younger sister of Barbara Nekesa Oundo, a former MP for Busia District, who now serves as NRM Treasurer.

Her ability to connect with people from all walks of life makes her uniquely suited to represent the diverse voices of Uganda’s youth.

“I am committed to tackling youth unemployment, a major issue that has left many of us feeling used and forgotten. It’s time for the youth to take the mantle of leadership. If you entrust me with your vote, I will be your voice in Parliament, fighting for opportunities, empowerment, and a brighter future for all young Ugandans,” she told Bbeg Media after being officially nominated by Dr. Tanga Odoi, chairperson of the NRM Electoral Commission.
