‘My Miss’ Remake? Coco Finger Says John Blaq Would Ruin It

Date:

Dancehall veteran musician Coco Finger sparked a social media debate after scrapping John Blaq’s name from the list of artists who would redo his song.

Coco Finger rose to fame in the late 2000s and was a hot dancehall item known for his rapid-fire singing and introductions. One of the biggest songs he ever released, and one that still gets people on their feet, was ‘My Miss’.

Reacting to artists’ habits of redoing old hits to celebrate their idols’ legacies, Coco Finger revealed that he believed most artists would do well to his satisfaction.

When asked about that one artist that he would warn to stay off his song, he unapologetically mentioned John Blaq’s name.

Defending his answer, Coco Finger revealed that it was because he had a very deep voice, which he believed was unsuitable for the song.

“At this time, maybe someone can redo it, but in their own style. For those who cannot, I think it is John Blaq because he has a very big voice. He might make me hate my song. It will be his own personal remix,” he said in a joking way.
