A section of musicians and other creatives have opposed the idea of going through Eddy Kenzo’s Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) to get to Gen Salim Saleh. In a note addressed to Eddy Kenzo last week, Saleh wrote to the UNMF head, urging him to handle the musicians who have been flocking to his residence in Gulu.

The General said that these are interrupting his works in the area. He therefore ordered Kenzo to handle them before they go to Gulu. However, some individuals in the music industry have opposed this, amongst them is musician Omulangira Suuna (OS).

The Love Yo singer said that he can’t go through Kenzo because the UNMF President cannot help him with his problems. Additionally, OS said that he went to Gulu as a Uganda’s citizens and not as musicians.

OS also claims that he has some projects that he wants the General to help him with. Therefore, there’s no way he can go through Kenzo.

“I went to Gulu as a Ugandan and not a musician. This is because I have some projects that I want the General to assist me with under the Operation Wealth Creation. There’s no way I’m going through Eddy Kenzo because he can’t help me on such matters,” OS said.

For Zex Bilangilangi, he laughed at these musicians saying that the regime has now gotten tired of their begging. It’s now slowly pushing them away. He added that even Kenzo is after his personal gains. That is why he doesn’t recognize the Semyekozo singer or the federation as legitimate.
