Mojo Morgan releases inspirational song ‘Dreams’, speaks about Azawi, Spice Diana, Lydia Jazmine – Xclusive UG.

Date:

Grammy award winninng artiste, Mojo Morgan, is making a major push with his new single Dreams, a cheeky club banger that offers a perfect example of how to grab the brass ring of music success in 2025.

“Dreams is for every hustler, every survivor and soul who refuses to settle. The song is motivational, soulful and uplifting, it’s a declaration that your dreams are valid, no matter where you come from or what you’ve been told,” Mojo Morgan said.

The single will be available on all major download platforms this Tuesday and will be released alongside glitzy visuals.

Mojo Morgan, a founding member of Morgan Heritage, spent several months hanging out with Popcaan soaking up the grit and joys of rural life, and experiencing first-hand the wonderful jolt of Kingston street life rolling up in 20-deep entourages at dances and events in the capital city.

He used the opportunity to write a soundtrack of his unique experiences for an upcoming EP dubbed Jamaica Love. The lead single from the project is the hard-hitting Dreams, which is co-produced by dancehall super producer Rowan ‘Droptop’ Melhado.

The single fuses the genres of reggae, rock, and inspirational energy in a way that feels fresh yet familiar.

“Working with Mojo on this record was a powerful experience,” said Melhado, founder of Droptop Records.

“This isn’t just a song, it’s a soundtrack for anyone on the grind. Coming off recent hits with Popcaan, Skeng, and Chronic Law, I wanted to bring that same energy to something more uplifting. This one’s for the streets and the soul,” he added.

Mojo Morgan has high hopes for the single as it channels the artiste’s own journey of resilience and invites listeners to share and pursue their own dreams unapologetically.

“Dreams is a gateway to an EP which is a deeply personal project for me because it honours my homeland, my family legacy, and especially the memory of my late brother and bandmate, Peetah Morgan,” Mojo said.

The EP is rooted in reggae and dancehall but infused with hip-hop, country, Americana, and global rhythms. It features collaborations with Gramps Morgan, Popcaan, Sizzla, Maino, Chronic Law, and Mojo’s own children and nephew.

Speaking about Uganda, the star acknowledged the support and praised Ugandans for their soul.

“The first thing we (Morgan Heritage) noticed was the soul of the people — it’s in the music, the rhythm, the dance, the way Ugandans live with such joy and resilience. Uganda doesn’t just listen to music, it feels it. That connection is deep, spiritual, and reminds us of why we do what we do. From day one, the love felt like family like we were home,” he said.

He also acknowledged Ugandan music talented and said he would like to work with Azawi in the future. He said: “There’s so much talent coming out of Uganda, but I’d love to work with Azawi. She has a refreshing style and real lyrical depth. Spice Diana also brings such vibrant energy that I think would blend beautifully with Rasta Rock.

And Lydia Jazmine has a vocal tone that could sit so nicely on a reggae or Afro-fusion track. Uganda’s queens are shining right now.”

Mojo Morgan also raved about working with his sister and nephew: “Traveling and performing with my sister Una and nephew Jemere brings me strength, laughter, and legacy. Strength, because we support each other emotionally through everything, especially after losing Peetah.

Laughter, because no matter what’s going on, we keep the vibes high.

Legacy, because seeing Jemere step into leadership as the new voice of Morgan Heritage shows that the music lives on through generations.”

Fans can find and buy Mojo Morgan’s music on Spotify, Apple Music, Boomplay, Audiomack, TIDAL, and YouTube Music.
