Mikie Wine Apologizes to Buganda Prince Wasajja, Over False Social Media Allegations

Date:

Musician Mikie Wine has issued a public apology to Prince Wasajja and the entire Buganda Kingdom at large for the false allegations that have been trending on social media.

Prince Wasajja was a guest at Mikie Wine’s recently concluded concert at Serena Hotel and took time off to interact with Bobi Wine, who was also in attendance.

However, some malicious individuals captured the moment and shared it widely on social media platforms, claiming that the Prince had secretly sneaked something into his pockets to harm Bobi Wine.

When he cited the trending clip, Mikie Wine shared his apology in a video he posted across all his social media platforms. He revealed that the clip had been altered and misinterpreted by selfish people to spread an agenda to tarnish his healthy relationship with the kingdom.

He called upon everyone to treat the allegations with the contempt they deserved because Prince Wasajja had nothing but love and support for his music.

I want to take this opportunity to apologise to the Buganda Kingdom for what has been said on the internet about Omulangira Wasajja David. Some selfish people took different clips of the prince who was with my brother, Robert Kyagulanyi, and started concocting their stories. Some of these people want to create divisions amongst us. I’m a Muganda man who loves my King, and when I got the chance to host the Prince at my concert, he represented my King.

As someone raised in a non-tribalistic community and family, Miki Wine advised everyone to stay united and to respect everyone they come across.

I humbly beg everyone out there, regardless of the tribe, to unite. We were created in the same image. Please stop using any given chance or the internet to disrespect those who love us. If we do so, we won’t get others like them. I pray God calms you down and cleanses your hearts. You are ruining our images after they see some of the disgusting things you write about people who have ot done anything wrong. Prince Wasajja just wanted to support me. Those spreading false allegations should know it is bad. We have to stand together and not attack each other’s tribes,” he said as he thanked the Buganda Kingdom for supporting artists.
