Veteran singer Mesach Ssemakula has warned his children to stay away from his property, saying it belongs to him and his wife.
Mesach Ssemakula made the revelation during the ‘Senkoole Family’ gathering to celebrate Haruna Mubiru’s daughter, Remmy Mubiru, who graduated from the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU). In line with the event’s theme, he encouraged children to study, work hard, and earn their own money.
According to Mesach, it has become a norm among children lately to desire to take over their parents’ property for selfish gain, even when their parents are still alive.
Pointing to his bloodline, Mesach cautioned that it wouldn’t be the case for him, as his children had to earn every penny and not rely on his sweat.
With his money, Mesach revealed that he had the right to sell off some of his property and reward himself with luxurious gifts, like expensive cars, if he wanted them, and that none of his children were allowed to complain about it.

You don’t demand anything from me; not a car, not a house. All my things belong to my wife and me. There are cases of children ganging up against their parents for selling their own property, thinking they now own it. I do not want any of my children to ever say that to me because I saved up my money and bought my own land. It means that if I ever want something, I’m free to sell my own land and drive a Benz if I wish. I do not owe you anything. If you refuse to go to school, I don’t care. All that I have belongs to my wife and me, not you.
