Black Market singer Martha Mukisa has spoken out about the challenges of motherhood when there is no support from family.
Being a mom and a musician, Martha Mukisa revealed that they always have plans for their careers. They are, however, brought to a standstill because of pregnancy, thus limiting their stage performances and work rate.
Under this amount of pressure, they fail to bounce back after birth unless they get the right support from family, teams, and baby daddies. This additionally drives them into depression because they lack someone to take care of them.
“I want to tell every female out there that a person should make the decision to give birth when they are sure they are ready. Ready in age, financially, and with a supportive partner or baby daddy, team, or even a family.
Martha Mukisa welcomed her baby girl in May last year, and despite being a first-time mother, she has been able to get back to active music. She attributed this to the strong support system back at home.

“I’m here right now because I have been taken care of, and not only that, but mentally, I have been given peace of mind; something you cannot have when you don’t have anyone on your side,” she said.
