Maro Explains Why He Once Called Patrick Salvado a Traitor Over Clashing Concert Dates

Date:

Musician Maro has opened up on past comments calling comedian Patrick Salvado Idringi a traitor for staging a concert on the same date as him.

Maro narrated that he staged a concert to celebrate his 10-year anniversary in music, and Salvado was among the very first people he spoke to about it, since they were very close.

Surprisingly, a few days after they had discussed dates, he saw a billboard advertising Salvado’s comedy concert slated for the same date he had chosen.

Maro confessed he was frustrated and, out of anger, called out Salvado in the media, calling him a traitor.

After their argument, he realized it was Salvado’s birthday and wanted to celebrate it with his fans. Additionally, he had already submitted his proposals to his sponsors way back before Maro came up with the idea, but hadn’t yet got responses from them.

“I think he just didn’t want to tell me because they had not confirmed it to him yet. Confessed to me, saying he had already organized his thing, and he had no reason to sabotage me. He came true to me, and I understood him. He is my person,” he said.

Maro denied having any beef with Salvado, saying their friendship goes back a long way. He noted that he was among the lineup of artists curtain-raising for Salvado’s comedy show as he was starting out his career.
