Marketing veteran Timothy Luzinda named new marketing manager at Uganda Baati

Uganda Baati appoints seasoned marketing expert Timothy Luzinda as its new Marketing Manager. Discover how his 18 years of experience from companies like Pepsi will drive future growth.

KAMPALA, Uganda — Timothy Luzinda, a marketing veteran with more than 18 years of experience, has been named the new Marketing Manager for Uganda Baati Limited. His appointment is effective in August 2025.

Luzinda joins Uganda Baati with an extensive background in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. He previously served as Head of Marketing at Crown Beverages Limited (CBL), the PepsiCo franchise in Uganda, from 2008 to 2023. At CBL, he was instrumental in leading high-impact campaigns, launching new products like Mountain Dew and Sting Energy Drink, and repositioning Pepsi Cola in the market. He also spearheaded the “Forever Connected” returnable glass bottle initiative, which generated UGX 21 billion in revenue and drove new consumer engagement strategies.

Before his role at CBL, Luzinda worked in advertising with MCL McCann and ZK Advertising, where he managed campaigns for high-profile clients such as Celtel Uganda and Uganda Breweries Limited. Most recently, he was a Sales and Marketing Consultant at Wavah Water Limited, where he led a business system audit and introduced new distribution channels.

Luzinda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Makerere University and is a certified member of the Uganda Marketers Society.

At Uganda Baati, a member of the Safal Group and a leader in roofing and building solutions, Luzinda is expected to leverage his expertise to strengthen the company’s marketing strategy, accelerate customer engagement, and deepen its market leadership. The appointment is seen as a strategic move by the company to continue its growth path and investment in marketing as a key pillar for future success.
