Legendary reggae artist Maddoxx Semanda Sematimba has sparked debate with his recent confession about his musical tastes.
Maddox, while speaking to blogger Peng Peng on his recent visit to the US, name-dropped Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine, saying that he doesn’t play their music at his home.
He described their music as loud and unsuitable for the mood in a home. Maddox revealed that he could play it outside while hanging out with a group of friends, but not behind the walls of his home, citing it is a sacred place.
I can never sit in my house and listen to Bebe Cool’s music. I’m not dissing him, but that is it. If they play him while we are out there in a group, I can listen, but never in my house. Not even Bobi Wine. I can, however, play him when I’m with my friends to vibe.
Maddoxx Semanda emphasized that his home was more of a soul-searching and exploring his inner world than a loud vibe.

I do not even play my own music in my house. Home is a source of spirituality; a place where you meditate and think about other things, he revealed.
