Lydia Jazmine Credits Herself for Success Without Record Label or Management Support

Date:

Singer Lydia Jazmine, real name Lydia Nabawanuka, has hailed herself and her team for surviving the storm without a manager or record label.

Jazmine joined the music industry as a backup artist for the late Mowzey Radio and Weasel. While there, she was introduced to Bushingtone by Jeff Kiwa and has never looked back.

Bushingtone took on the role as her manager and was the brains behind Lydia Jazmine’s hit songs, such as “You and Me,” “Masuuka,” and “Nkubanja,” among others.

A year later, however, the two parties bitterly parted ways and have not seen eye to eye since. Lydia Jazmine embarked on her solo career, starting up her own team, LJ Music, and has lived without the support of a record label or official manager.

While many artists who go through the same phase in their careers meet their downfall, Lydia Jazmine has stood the test of time and has herself and her God to thank for holding her through it all.

“I know people will be there and compare me with other artists, but I have been on my own. I’m not like others who have people behind them, like managers, record labels, and all. I woke up and made my team, LJ Music, and I’m very proud of myself because that is different.

I don’t think artists who have let record labels and managers have stood the test of time like I have. It’s been like this since 2018, and I thank God and my fans. I remain humble as always, and I will never change. You have seen people struggling a lot when they go solo.

Lydia Jazine has been soaring high with her recently released ‘One and Only’ album, which she says trended within 3 days of its release.

This was her very first personal project, handled solely by her team without anyone else’s help. The 50-minute album is doing well on digital streaming platforms.
