Veteran Kadongo Kamu singer Vincent Ssegawa, now Luqman Ssegawa, was last night allegedly attacked by thugs, beating him to a pulp.
According to reports, Luqman Ssegawa was attacked by unknown assailants while returning to Bombo, after saying his ishae prayers at Masjid.
During the scuffle, he was hit by a sharp object, which penetrated through his skull, leaving him with a big injury on his head.
The thugs reportedly went on to strangle him; fortunately, he survived and was rushed to the nearby health facility for medical supervision.
He was subsequently transferred to a bigger hospital to further examine the magnitude of his injury, and is currently unconscious.

The unfortunate news comes after Luqman Ssegawa returned to the country following a long stay in the Arab world to solidify his religious ties.
