Kin Bella Denies Seeking Relevance From Recho Rey in ‘Ekibobo’ Song Dispute

Date:

Musician Kin Bella has addressed allegations of a silent beef with rapper Recho Rey, setting the record straight that she had no problem with her.

Kin Bella, in her recent interview, revealed that Recho Rey has, on many occasions, alleged that she (Kin Bella) was seeking relevance off her name by claiming she stole her song ‘Ekibobo’.

Kin Bella, however, cleared the air, denying the allegations, insisting that, ever since she came out in the media to address the issue, she has blamed the producer who gave her the idea, not Recho Rey, who released the song.

“She cannot be an artist I can get relevancy from because she has nothing. I’m not even bragging. From the very start, when I said it, my problem was with the producer. When you visit my interviews, I have never mentioned having issues with her.

Kin Bella revealed that she has been a fan of Recho Rey since her high school days. She stressed that she used to text her on Instagram because she loved her music and also did challenges of her songs on social media.

If she has forgotten, let her visit her Instagram. I want her to know that I have no problem with her and that I’m not looking for relevance. There is nothing she can give me because I’m so good. I blame the producer, and I don’t know why she keeps insisting that I have a problem in every interview she does,” Kin Bella said.

Kin Bella narrated that on the day the song was released, she tried to reach out to Recho by texting her privately. She also addressed the issue with her manager, who advised her to speak to the producer behind the saga.

“The producer said Recho Rey asked for a good song. Rappers don’t need too much of a storyline; you just get ideas and do a song out of it. I was talking about my idea and the producer, but I never had a problem with that artist,” she said.
