Renowned former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga has been pronounced dead after battling heart complications in India.
Raila Odinga was the former Kenyan Prime Minister from 2008 to 2013 and has been the Leader of the Opposition since 2013.
Following his India tour, he experienced health challenges and collapsed midway through his morning walk in Koothattukulam in Kerala’s Ernakulam district.
He was subsequently rushed to an Ayurvedic hospital for specialized medical treatment before losing the battle on Wednesday, 15 October 2025.

Odinga’s death has been met with significant grief globally, with many expressing their condolences for the loss of the political figure.
