Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) has announced the return of the highly anticipated Kampala City Festival.
The exciting news was made known to the public by the newly appointed KCCA Executive Director, Buzaki Sharifah, who revealed that the grand opening launch and the festival date will be unveiled on 6th August 2025 at City Hall.
According to Buzaki, the festival will not only be an event but a platform used to honour innovation, culture, creativity, and community spirit that defines Kampala City.
“It is not just about fun. It’s about coming together as a city, recognizing how far we’ve come, and renewing our collective commitment to building a cleaner and more liveable Kampala,” she added.
Introduced by ex-ED Jenifer Musisi, the Festival was deemed to be one of the biggest street festivals in East Africa, but was cancelled in 2018.
