Karole Kasita Heaps Praise on Cindy Sanyu, Says Her Musical Force Can Silence Anyone in the Room

Date:

Dancehall singer Karole Kasita has heaped praise on fellow musician Cindy Sanyu’s musical prowess and stage presence, saying that her performance can easily intimidate anyone in the room.

Karole Kasita has always been known as one of the most energetic dancehall artists, but during a YouTube interview, she admitted she was scared to share a studio session with Cindy Sanyu.

Describing her as a powerhouse, Karole recalled one of the studio sessions that they had while working on their collaboration, ‘Mwotto’. She confessed that she failed to sing out of a lack of confidence because she felt she couldn’t measure up to Cindy’s talent.

You cannot sing when Cindy is around you. There is a certain force that she has, a force that she represents in that when you are close to her, you feel like you cannot go against her.

She is different. She is so special and bad. I had done many live bands before, but when I got to the studio with Cindy, things changed. She ordered me to sing, and I couldn’t.

But I had sung before, but couldn’t at that time. They took me out, comforted and encouraged me to sing, but I was scared. I suggested that we do it another day, but she insisted that we sing that day, and she told me I had to finish my voice,” she said.
