Kampala’s party scene has experienced a very different twist in the recent past- the steady rise of the day party scene, characterized by mushrooming brunches and themed picnics.
The Daycation, Silo 15’s monthly brunch, remains one of the most consistent Sunday day parties to look out for in Kampala. It’s an experiential party that blends music, cocktails, and food.
The March edition of the Daycation was the ultimate party destination for those who wanted to bid farewell to March and welcome April in style.
The monthly brunch, which occasionally starts at 12 pm, attracted a myriad of beauties and high rollers who intended to indulge just a little bit before the new week and its blues attack.
For any brunch to be worth the name, it’s usually the menu that defines it. And Silo 15 outdid themselves with the March edition.
From the food to the Don Julio cocktail pairings, they struck a balance, as most of the food simply complemented the drinks.
For a day party, the bartenders were deliberately easy on the clients, serving softer, sweeter cocktails, but the drinks grew stronger as the day wore on.
Most people have different reasons for choosing some cocktails over others, but many seemed to love the Margarita, perhaps because it is well-balanced, combining sweet, sour, and salty flavors. Then some simply love the shape of the glass where it is made.

But even then, the Silo Daycation remains big to its norm of inviting the audience to enjoy while learning more about their preferred drinks.
“Silo Daycation represents the kind of intentional, elevated social experience today’s consumer is seeking. Where great music, food, and company come together seamlessly. As Don Julio, we are proud to partner with platforms like this that showcase the versatility of tequila while creating meaningful, memorable moments for fun-loving people. Such experiences are all about celebrating life’s finer moments, anytime of the day,” said Judie Nandekya, Senior Brand Manager, Tequila and Rum East Africa.
To add to the vibes and elevate the already high tempo, the Silo’s in-house band and a lineup of some of the best DJs in town delivered a bespoke audio journey that had guests singing and dancing along to every mix.
