Kalifah Aganaga reveals why he fell out with Producer Nash Wonder

Date:

Musician Kalifah Aganaga has opened up on why he separated from his producer, Nash Wonder.

During his TikTok live broadcast, Aganaga revealed that they parted ways because he wanted Nash Wonder to only work for the younger generation at that time.

At the peak of his career, Aganaga says the younger artists were in stiff competition with the older generation, with artists like Radio & Weasel. With Nash Wonder, Aganaga says they made several great hits that put the dynamic duo under pressure.

Radio & Weasel allegedly abandoned their producer, Washington, and ran to Nash Wonder for a new experience to help them stay at the top of the industry. This angered Aganaga because he wanted his lot to have a unique sound too.

We did not separate in bad faith, but it was because of music. I wanted him for myself. And maybe work for the younger generation with artists like Ziza Bafana.

We aimed to outcompete artists like Radio & Weasel, but they left their initial producer, Washington, and instead came to our producer, Nash Wonder. This meant only one thing: that they were feeling the pressure of my music. I did not want them to have our sound because I wanted us to be unique. Nash decided to work for them, Kalifa revealed.

Aganaga further explained that he was against Nash Wonder working for the duo because it was payback from when they also sabotaged his dealings with their producers, Washington and Paddy.

They kept talking ill about us to their producers and made it hard for us to work with them. Producers like Washington and Paddy used to ask for so much money from us. That is why we had decided to build our own producers, he mentioned.
