Kabale District NRM Cadres Honor Outgoing RDC Godfrey Nyakahuma for Exemplary Service – Xclusive UG.

Kabale-In a heartfelt ceremony, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) cadres of Kabale District honored outgoing Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Godfrey Nyakahuma for his outstanding performance during his tenure.

Nyakahuma, who assumed office on thursday, September 9, 2021, replacing Darius Nandinda, has been transferred to Kaberamaido District in the recent reshuffle by the President, was recognized for his significant contributions in the fight against corruption, effective monitoring of government programs and projects, creating good relationships between the security operatives and the community and his efforts in mobilizing support for the NRM party.

The event that was held on 01 August 2025 at Kirigime Guest House, was attended by local leaders, community members, and NRM supporters, who highlighted Nyakahuma’s dedication and commitment to improving governance and transparency in Kabale where his proactive approach in addressing corruption and ensuring the successful implementation of government initiatives has left a lasting impact on the district.

In his speech, Nyakahuma expressed gratitude for the support he received from the people of Kabale and pledged to remain part of Kabale family for the love, Care and hospitality he recieved by the time he came to Kabale in RDCs office.

Maj. Godfrey Katamba, who has been appointed as the new RDC for Kabale, was also present at the ceremony and in his address, he commended Nyakahuma’s achievements and vowed to build upon the strong foundation laid by his predecessor calling for continued collaboration and support from the community to further the development and prosperity of Kabale District.

The ceremony concluded with a presentation of gifts to Commissioner Nyakahuma like cows, sitting room furniture money among others as a token of appreciation for his exemplary service, marking the end of a significant chapter in Kabale’s administrative leadership.
