Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi has returned home following a medical review in Germany, Buganda Kingdom has announced.
The monarch was received at Entebbe International Airport by the First Deputy Katikkiro, Prof. Twaha Kaawaase Kigongo, accompanied by a delegation of senior Kingdom officials.
This latest trip, the Kingdom clarified, was part of a broader, ongoing medical treatment regimen and periodic consultations with the Kabaka’s international team of doctors.
Public attention around the Kabaka’s health has persisted since 2021, when he appeared physically frail during his 66th birthday celebration at Lubiri an image that triggered deep concern among his subjects and across Buganda.
In the years since, Kingdom authorities have maintained a consistent line of communication, sharing updates while urging the public to remain calm and offer prayers for the monarch’s well-being.
Just weeks before this latest return, Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga reassured the Kingdom about the Kabaka’s condition, confirming his travel plans for medical consultation.
