The Chief of Defence Forces, also Special Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has promoted one General and two Colonels into acting ranks.
This was revealed by UPDF Spokesperson, Major General Felix Kulayigye in a brief statement today Monday, 7th July, 2025.
“The CDF/SPA/SO, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has granted acting ranks to the following Generals & Senior Officers for meritorious service,” reads Kulayigye’s brief statement on X.
The three officers are; Major General Francis Okello who has been promoted to Lieutenant General, Colonel Godfrey Karugaba promoted to Brigadier General and Colonel Paddy Ankunda promoted to Brigadier General.
“The UPDF fraternity congratulates the Generals on their well-deserved promotions,”says Kulayigye.
