Mityana Woman MP, Joyce Bagala, has opened up about her life outside politics, emphasizing that her children are her top priority. She stated that anyone who interferes with them will face her fierce maternal instincts.

“My children are my everything. They are beautiful, innocent, and peaceful. Anyone who tampers with them hurts me, and I will go to great lengths to protect them,” Bagala said during an interview with Bbeg Media’s Noah Kyeyune.

Currently seeking a second term as Mityana Woman MP, Bagala also shared her personal tastes, revealing her love for a local dish.

“If you want me to eat, just serve me matooke with groundnuts and mukene. I will eat everything,” she said with a smile.

Reflecting on her life decisions, Bagala highlighted her choice to forgo a career in education despite growing up surrounded by teachers.

“After completing Senior Six, I chose not to pursue education, even though many people around me were teachers. I can’t imagine myself as a teacher now because I’m naturally shy,” she explained.

On her political journey, Bagala expressed pride in remaining steadfast in the opposition. [WATCH VIDEO INTERVIEW]

“My decision to oppose this government is still my most cherished political choice. I see people join the opposition and later switch to Museveni’s side, and I wonder what has changed,” she remarked.

The former journalist emphasized her desire for a simple, happy life. She maintains a small, trusted circle of friends and values her privacy.

“This small circle of friends has been helpful and trustworthy. Keeping my life private has also saved me a lot,” Bagala noted.
