Musicians Jowy Landa and Pretty Banks have debunked Spice Diana’s claims that artists who have cemented their place in the industry did not need hit songs to stay on the map.
Recently, Spice Diana appeared in an interview, and in her opinion, she noted that an established artist may not need to rely solely on hit songs, as their career is already well-established.
Jowy Landa and Pretty Banks, however, while addressing the media, counterattacked the claims, suggesting that no artist releases a song with low expectations.
You are happy when you get a hit song; that is why you go to the studio. No one ever releases a song and doesn’t want it to be a hit. They just refuse but everyone wants it. When you are established and have some money, maybe you do not get the pressure of releasing a hit song, otherwise everyone wants it, she said.
Jowy Landa broke down the costs of one music project, revealing that they invest a lot of money because they expect their fans to love the music.”We invest a lot of money in these songs. Just the audio alone costs like a million. For the video, you may spend more than 7 million. I do not think you put in all that and say you care less if your song becomes a hit, she said.
Pretty Banks, on the other hand, respected Spice Diana’s opinion but also acknowledged that as an artist, you have to keep pushing every song that you release, hoping that your fans love it the same way you do.

That is her opinion, but to me, every artist wants to make good music with the hopes of getting a hit. That is why we keep pushing because you never know. You do your song and love it, and then hope the people will enjoy it on the same level as you. Every song you do as an artist, you expect this, she said.
