Songstress Iryn Namubiru experienced an emotional breakdown last night while reflecting on the circumstances surrounding her father’s death in 2013.
Iryn Namubiru’s father, Mubiru Kitaka, unfortunately, passed away 12 years ago in Mityana. In an emotional post on her Instagram page, the diva revealed that the tragic incident happened just three weeks after her detention in Japan.
She was battling a drug trafficking charge where one Kim Ueno allegedly slipped drugs into the food items she was carrying.
Iryne was released after three weeks, but sadly, her dad was not there to welcome her back. She recalled being informed that his attempts to contact her had proved futile before he breathed his last.
Iryn has openly rebuked her mother in numerous interviews, who she says played a part in framing her. In this particular post, she reveals that her mother chose to walk away, leaving her to take care of her father’s funeral arrangements.
“I was alone. Just like I am an only child. I was there by myself; I spent that night alone at my father’s vigil with a paternal family I hardly knew. I was out fighting mosquitoes in my car,”
On the day of the burial, Iryn says her mother, together with four siblings, arrived at 12:40 PM, just a few hours before the burial.
