Eddy Kenzo made the surprising revelation during a sit-down interview with former Uganda media personality Isaac Kawalya Kayz, noting that he already sat for his Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations, designed for individuals who may not have pursued the conventional academic path. He revealed that he had passed them highly and was now enrolled at the university.
The Big Talent boss revealed that he decided to go back to school to become a perfect role model for his children and to show them how important education is in life.
I went back and took the Mature Entry Exams and passed them very well. Accepted to go back to school, and I’m now at the university. I did this to show my children the right way and to get something to do in the next years of my life by managing my business, he said.
Eddy Kenzo, however, refused to reveal the particular university he is enrolled at or even the course he is currently pursuing, noting that he wanted to keep that journey of his life away from the public for now to help him concentrate and take his time at school.
He revealed that his time in music would not last forever, as he plans on diverting his career in his old age. At this point, he wouldn’t want to just delegate people to help him run his businesses; he would love to do it himself, and only an education would make this possible.

It is my personal business for now; I want to take my time. I had to go back to school because every stage comes with something different. I will not be jumping around on stage forever. There has to be a time when you have to look into life. I hope to handle my work personally without having people tell me how to run it. So I have to get some knowledge, he said.
