I Now Sell “My Sumbie” In A Diplomatic Way – Bad Black

Date:

Kampala socialite Shanitah Namuyimbwa commonly known as Bad Black, and former s3x worker, has opened up about the change in her life. While she was once known for sumbie vending, as it’s often called, she says she’s no longer doing things casually. Instead, she describes her current activities as more “diplomatic.”

In an interview with Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Bad Black explained, that she no longer sells her sumbie openly for money, but instead decided to professionalize it diplomatically.

I no longer vend myself openly for money. I hide behind diplomatic terms and at times go behind human rights foundations for women to get money from men.” It sounds like she’s found a different way to navigate these relationships.

Despite her personal shift, Bad Black acknowledges that exchanging money for sex remains a reality for many women in Kampala, and that it’s a way they survive.
