Ugandan rapper GNL Zamba has opened up on his dream of becoming one of the biggest Ugandan movie stars in Hollywood.
According to GNL Zamba, real name Earnest Nsimbi, many of the most famous and successful artists, especially in the Western world, have ended up becoming actors and actresses in numerous movies. Stars like Beyonce, Will Smith, Tyrese, 50 Cent, and Kelly Rowland have all appeared in movies and GNL, too, dreams of taking that route.
The passion GNL has for acting was one of the reasons that greatly influenced his move to California. He draws inspiration from stars like Ice Cube, one of the most renowned gangster rappers in the game, and a very successful actor as well.
GNL revealed that he looks up to him because he owns a film and television production company that is making insane amounts of money.

“The reason as to why I moved to Hollywood was because I looked at people like Ice Cube. Some people are unaware of his rap career, but West Coast Gangster Rap is largely associated with Ice Cube. He wrote for artists like Dr. Dre but then redirected to making films,” he said.
GNL under his media production company, Baboon Forest, hopes to pick a leaf from Ice Cube. He explained that he has a vision and hopes to one day appear on international screens, both as a rapper and an actor.

“Baboon Forest might go that direction. I can become the 50 Cent, Jay Z, or Ice Cube of Uganda. If God blesses us, we might because we have the vision and the talent to develop it. Luckily, we even have the networks to invest in projects like that,” he said to Spark TV.
