Singer Hajji Haruna Mubiru celebrated his daughter, Remmy Mubiru Fatuma, with a precious gift as a congratulatory message for completing her studies.
Remmy acquired a certificate in general nursing during the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU)’s 34th Graduation Ceremony, held over the weekend, and Haruna Mubiru couldn’t hide his excitement and how proud he was of her for the huge milestone.
Haruna gave Remmy a Quran, a prayer mat, and the highlight of the day was when the black Sienta was delivered on the carrier in the middle of the compound for her. Remmy, amidst cheers and ululations, took the car for a test drive with her father at the wheel.
The celebrations were held by the entire ‘Senkoole’ family, represented by Mesach Ssemakula, in a small, intimate family event presided over by various religious leaders, with a few invited friends.
During his speech, Haruna called Remmy an inspiration and a role model to her other siblings. He revealed that investing in and opening H&M Restaurant for her was a debt she would only repay by helping her siblings.

Remmy knelt before the audience and thanked her father for standing in the gap, seeing her through school, and taking care of their big family. She also sang Gabbie Ntaate’s ‘Taata Wange’ to seal her message to her father.
