Singer Grenade Official, real name Deus Nduggwa, has clarified that the song in question rightfully belongs to Sheebah Karungi.
Ahead of her 36th birthday, Sheebah hinted at releasing her new song, dubbed Nyweera, written by renowned songwriter Nikoly Ten.
The self-styled Karma Queen stressed that the song was a letter to herself, recorded two years back during her lowest point.
Upon releasing the song on her birthday, netizens were quick to notice a striking similarity with one of Grenade Official’s songs.
During a phone interview with Galaxy FM, however, Grenade Official clarified that the song rightfully belonged to Sheebah, urging his fans to cease fire.

Grenade didn’t explain how the song ended up with Sheebah, as he was in a hurry to catch a flight. He, however, promised to share more details later.
