Gospel Singer Bentrom Defends Working With Sheebah Karungi on ‘Dance For The Lord’ Remix

Date:

Gospel musician Bentrom has responded to critics who questioned his decision to record a song with Sheebah Karungi.

Last year, Bentrom got Sheebah Karungi to remix his dancehall song ‘Dance For The Lord,’ which has since received significant attention.

A section of critics suggested that she was not right for the song, especially for the way she was dressed, prompting them to call out Bentrom for his choice of artist.

Bentrom, real name Ssekiziyivu Ben, during an interview slammed the critics, expressing his disappointment towards all those who judged Sheebah Karungi because of her lifestyle. He revealed that through her, God’s message reached millions of people who have embraced the song.

Bentrom, who was unapologetic about working with the self-styled Karma Queen, revealed that he was privileged to have met and worked with her, as very many do not get that opportunity.

“I don’t think I have made any mistake because everything I do, I do it willingly. I let God judge me and choose. There is a word in the Bible that says that God uses those whom you despise the most.  He chose Sheebah, whom everyone sees as unholy, and she pushed the song very far. No one hears that song and doesn’t stand up to dance. It is way better than all the vulgar songs because we use the same beat to get people dancing,” he said.
