Kabale, Uganda – In a remarkable display of athletic prowess, God’s Favour Nursery and Primary School emerged victorious in both football and netball at the Soccer Galler Kabale Municipal Council tournament the games played at Kigezi high primary school lower playground in Kabale Municipality.
The school secured its triumph by defeating Child Africa Nursery and Primary School with a decisive 3-0 victory in football and an overwhelming 36-5 win in netball an impressive performance that has earned them the honor of representing Kabale Municipal Council at the upcoming National Competitions in Yumbe District, scheduled for August 2025.
Josephert Turyakira, the Acting Sports Officer for Kabale Municipal Council, confirmed the school’s qualification, praising their outstanding achievements and sportsmanship throughout the tournament saying that God’s Favour has shown exceptional talent and dedication, setting a high standard for others to follow expecting excellent performance on the national level.
Saturday Collins Kaheesi, the director of God’s Favour Nursery and Primary School, expressed his pride in the students’ accomplishments emphasizing the importance of sports in the school’s curriculum, stating that Developing children’s talents is a priority for us and in today’s world, sports can be a viable career path and a source of income, offering numerous opportunities for our students.
