God Warned Me in a Dream: Former Blu*3 Singer Edith Mya Shares Why She Missed Blu*3 Reunion

Date:

Former Musician and ex-Blu*3 member Mya Baganda has opened up on why she didn’t attend the group’s reunion concert that happened at the Sheraton Hotel last year.

During a sit-down with the ‘It’s More’ podcast, Mya revealed that as a born-again Christian, she got warnings against being part of the show in her dreams.

Detailing further, Mya says that in one of her dreams, she was dressed as if she were going for a performance and kept asking herself where she was. She saw her former crew members going up on stage, and after analyzing her dress code and the situation around her, she knew that she was in the wrong place spiritually.

She acknowledged receiving a phone call inviting her to be part of the whole experience, but after heeding the warnings in her dreams, she declined, stating she would be unavailable.

“I didn’t even have that sense of doubt or the urge to go back. Told myself that I was here to serve the Lord, and that was my past. I wouldn’t go back. I won’t say I’m perfect, as I still backslide, but the person Have become now is very different. Didn’t want to deal with the pressure of people asking me where I had been. I had done it all, and I was done,” she said.

Mya Edith started as a dancer in Combat Dancers before joining Obsessions briefly and later Blu*3. Towards the end of her journey in Blu*3, she mentions that a lot of things happened in the group, and then she got pregnant.

After giving birth, she says she no longer had that sense of returning to the industry. It felt like she had transformed into someone entirely new, unrecognizable from the Mya everyone knew. She didn’t pick up the interest in music as much as she had before, and at the same time, she wanted to keep her new life away from the public.

After her son was four months, Mya thought about bouncing back and went back to the studio recording a couple of singles but was still not feeling it. She then decided to take a break and focus on her child. She further revealed that she would receive phone calls from people wanting her to attend events, and she consistently declined, until they eventually stopped.

Edith Mya had to go through a phase in life, and after battling depression and heartbreak, she decided to give her life to Christ.
