Singer Gloria Bugie, real name Gloria Busingye, has bragged about being a trendsetter, with most of the artists copying her style.
Gloria Bugie, during a recent interview, presented herself as one of the few artists who are inspiring the present generation and those to come. Listing examples, the singer noted that she introduced the Kompa music genre with songs like ‘Sheri,’ before other artists jumped on the trend.
“I’m the blueprint to this generation and the ones to come. If you notice, when I do a certain style, they copy it. I work with Element, they quickly run to look for him for a collabo. Which is good because I love the fact that I’m inspiring. I’m a trend setter and quality-wise, I’m who they look up to,” Gloria Bugie said.
Gloria Bugie has been hailed as one of the hardest-working artists who has invested so much in her craft. Despite rising to stardom, she feels Ugandans have not appreciated her enough because it took a long time to fully understand and embrace her artistic vision.
With the consistency in performances and music releases, she acknowledges that the fans have slowly started appreciating her music. She described her music journey so far as successful and getting better each day, all thanks to her management and fans.

“I appreciate them, but something is missing. The more consistent you are, the more they understand you. These fans need time to understand. When I had just come, they kept criticizing my style, but now they are slowly picking up. Those with good ears and who understand the music can easily know that the quality is good,” Bugie said.
