Congratulations are in order for band musicians Geoffrey Lutaaya and Fred Sserugga, who achieved their Bachelor’s degrees today.
The two artists were on the list of graduands for the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU)’s 34th Graduation Ceremony, held earlier today.
Sserugga graduated with a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB), while Hon. Geoffrey Lutaaya bagged a Degree in Public Administration and Management from the Kampala Campus.
During his recent interview, Sserugga described his academic journey as the most challenging period, citing financial challenges to push him through school.
Former bandmates Mesach and Haruna, however, were always there to help him cover the remaining tuition, which helped him achieve his dream of becoming a lawyer.

Upon completion, Sserugga promised to celebrate his new milestone with a big party surrounded by his close family and friends.
For Geoffrey Lutaaya, who is currently running for a political office, this new milestone will be a big boost in his career and help him fulfill his political ambitions.
