Veteran singer and TV host Jennifer Full Figure has engaged with the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) regarding the suspension of her Salt TV show.
In a statement issued by the Director Executive Director, Nyombi Thembo, Full Figure, in accompaniment of Salt Media, visited UCC offices and agreed to adhere to broadcasting regulations in the future. They also committed themselves to offering professional training to their staff going forward.
Full Figure expressed her willingness to pursue media training not only to upgrade her professionalism but also to ensure that her presence and content meet national broadcasting standards.
“I applaud Salt Media and the programme host for their teamwork, which is essential for encouraging responsible and ethical content. With the backing of UCC, we can develop a media environment that represents Uganda’s values and promotes trustworthy, respectful communication,” reads part of Hon Thembo’s statement.
In September, UCC suspended Salt Television’s “Omusunsuzi,” a show hosted by Full Figure and Charles James Ssenkubuge, citing a violation of broadcasting guidelines.

UCC alleged that the show was airing abusive content, inappropriate language, and displaying unprofessional conduct by the presenters.
According to the UCC press release, the broadcasts occur during the morning hours when children are likely to be watching, potentially exposing them to unsuitable material.
