Legendary Kadongo Kamu singer Lord Fred Sebatta has opened up about Biggie Events’ recent arrest, denying any involvement in the saga.
Last year, Biggie Events, real name is Mariam Mutakubwa, spent over a week in Luzira Prison over cases linked to an unpaid Ugx 70m loan. It is said that Biggie Events obtained a loan, which she used to fund one of her staged concerts.
However, the concert didn’t yield the expected proceeds, hindering the payment plan and much to the moneylender’s disappointment. This prompted the moneylender to seek legal action, and Biggie was dragged to court before being remanded to Luzira Prison to serve a six-month sentence.
Following the saga, there were claims that the money she owed had been invested in Fred Sebatta’s concert at Serena Hotel, and that she hoped to use the proceeds to cover it. However, the concert didn’t go as planned due to losses.
In an interview, however, Sebatta denied the claims, calling them baseless and untrue. “That is not true; she knows the truth, and it is between her and her God,” he said.

Despite their disagreements, Sebatta revealed he was open to another concert with another promoter, but this time, with terms and conditions. He emphasized that the most important thing was for the promoter to fulfill his end of the contract to avoid misunderstandings.
