Renowned social media analyst and critic Frank Ntambi has been granted cash bail today after spending a week behind bars.
Last week, Frank Ntambi was arrested and detained at Kabalagala Police Station, following his statements, which were deemed baseless and untrue by his accuser.
He was arraigned before the court and remanded to spend a few days in Luzira Prison, pending his second court appearance.
This morning, he reappeared before the Makindye Court, and his bail application was submitted; sureties were provided, assessed, and deemed eligible for the proceedings.
Frank Ntambi was obliged to pay UGX 500,000 cash bail, and his sureties will pay UGX 5 million, in the event of the social media critic’s failure to reappear before the court.

Ntambi is expected to continue presenting himself before the court, and renowned counsel Nalukoola vowed to continue supporting him throughout the process.
