Public speaker and businessman Frank Gashumba has shamed men who kneel asking for their ladies’ hands in marriage, saying he never did when proposing to his wife, Malaika.
Frank Gashumba, who appeared on Sanyuka TV, discussed modern-day marriage, saying that social media has greatly affected relationships, with people going an extra mile to please the public rather than their own partners.
He revealed that partners cared about social media takes, which ultimately influenced men to do unimaginable things, like gifting women flowers and kneeling to propose.
Frank Gashumba condemned the act, saying it was demeaning to men. He revealed he never knelt down for Malaika because he is a traditional man and learned it from his forefathers.
“How can I, Gashumba, kneel down to propose to a woman? I never did that, and you will see that if you watch my videos. If I have ever knelt down to do this, then may Allah punish me with the greatest punishment. I cannot do that. My ancestors never did that, so why would I? If she wants those who kneel, they are there, but not me,” he said.

Frank Gashumba described the act as highly performative and was used by unserious men to lure girls into falling for them, yet they have no pure intentions.
