Frank Gashumba Apologizes To Buganda Kingdom

Sisimuka Uganda’s Frank Gashumba has finally swallowed his pride and visited the Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, to apologize for all the insults and remarks he has made against him.

Frank Gashumba arrived at the office of the Katikkiro and went direct in a meeting, where the press was not allowed. They then met with the media in the Cabinet Room.

The Katikkiro accepted the apology and forgave Gashumba, he also thanked him for acknowledging his mistakes and asking for forgiveness.

Gashumba said he has been feeling guilty for his words, and he has been advised by the country’s leading figures, especially religious leaders led by the Archbishop of Masaka, Bishop Serverus Jjumba and the late Archbishop Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga.

Gashumba said he also reflects on the words of his grandfather who once told them, “Fight anyone else but don’t fight the Kingdom of Buganda”

He asked the Katikkiro to also allow him to lead a group of bavandimwe to also visit the palace in support of the Kingdom’s progress.
