Singer Fille Mutoni has explained why she stopped using a smartphone moments after being discharged from a rehabilitation facility.
A few years back, Fille was checked into a rehabilitation facility after grappling with challenges of substance abuse for a considerable period of time.
However, her journey to full recovery was not smooth, as she suffered several relapses along the way. In a bid to overcome the challenge, she was advised to stop using her smartphone and avoid watching documentaries or content associated with smoking or substance use.
She noted that she only leaves home when her acting manager, MC Kats, engages her for work, and doesn’t enter bars unless there is a clear mission.
Fille noted that she avoids associating with people who use intoxicating substances in an effort to protect her sobriety.
The singer hinted at the causes of substance abuse among musicians, mentioning loneliness as a significant factor. She revealed that despite having millions of followers, many musicians lack genuine friends they can turn to during times of emotional distress.

She further highlighted that even families expected to provide support turn musicians into their money machines, only reaching out when they need financial support.
Fille stressed that the emotional loneliness compels them to look for something to cling to for comfort, and substance abuse often becomes the closest and most dangerous option.
