Singer Fille has watered down reports that she ever received financial help from the Uganda Musicians Association Federation (UNMF) during her rehab stay.
Last year, Fille Mutoni’s manager, and baby daddy, MC Kats, expressed his frustration towards the Federation, where she was a member, for abandoning her during her fight with drug addiction. He claimed that she had been neglected and not helped.
In their defense, the federation president, Eddy Kenzo, revealed that they were actively involved in Fille’s recovery and doing everything they could to ensure she got better.
This sparked speculation that she had received financial support from the federation, a claim she strongly denied during her TV interview. She emphasized that she only got help from the people who cared about her well-being.

I do not want to discuss such things about the Federation because I hate music politics. When I was in rehab, musicians came to visit me. I got support from those whom I care for and those who care for me.
I have never received any money from the federation, but I got support from my fellow artists. And to me, support isn’t necessarily about giving me money; it’s about visiting me.
@sanyukatvug I’m doing good, peaceful and happy. It’s funny how people assume you’re unhappy or struggling just because you’re not active on social media. — Fille #SanyukaUnCut #SanyukaUpdates #FfeBannoDdala ♬ original sound – Sanyuka TV
