Veteran media personality Faridah Nakazibwe has confessed to having broken a relationship because of her foster child, Briella.
Faridah met Briella at just 1.5 years, following her mother, Racheal Nasasira’s, unforeseen demise due to health challenges. Bruno K, who had taken over custody, was relieved of responsibility by Faridah Nakazibwe, who took on the role of her foster mother.
As she turned three, Faridah confessed that she had met a man who expressed his desire to date her. Because she had just come out of a heartbreak, she had no interest but decided to give it a try. She says they dated and just as she had started introducing him to her children, the relationship crumbled as the man claimed he didn’t like Briella.
I have never broken a relationship because of that girl. Everyone knew I had a baby at home. When he insisted, I told him I would consider it. Just as I had started bringing this man partly into our lives, he said he didn’t like Briella because she is not my biological child. She was just a baby, and I didn’t see why she was bothering him. It got to a point when we were quarrelling every day because of the child.
Faridah claims she thought the man would finally let it go and accept her with all her children, but he insisted he didn’t want her around. He suggested that they transfer her to her biological father and offered to pay for nanny services. When she refused his terms, the man allegedly gave her an ultimatum: choose between Briella and her relationship.

He explained that he couldn’t stand Briella being around him because of how social media had branded her father (Bruno K). With this, Faridah had no choice but to let him go because Briella had become her daughter.
I told him I would give him an answer in two days because I was thinking about how best to say it. I told him that Briella was still a baby and that I would choose her. I closed the chapter, and he thought I was joking. I knew eventually he would suggest I let my children go.
