ENTEBBE: NUP Diehard, Mudhubala Remanded Further For Abusing First Family

The Entebbe Chief Magistrate Court presided over by Senior Grade one Magistrate, Edgar Tibayeita Tusiime on June 30, 2025, further remanded National Unity Platform (NUP) diehard, Juma Musuuza alias Madubarah till July 14,2025, when court will determine whether he has a prima facie case or a case to answer over his alleged hate speech.

 

The case was adjourned after prosecution Lawyer, Paul Byamukama Aheebwa informed court that prosecution was done with it’s investigations and ready to continue with the trial.

 

“Today Prosecution has no witnesses in court and we have closed our case,” State Attorney Byamukama informed the trial Magistrate.

 

Prosecution closed hearing of its witnesses after an officer at the Makerere University School of Humanities and Languages failed to show up in court for the second time to testify against the accused for allegedly degrading President Yoweri Museveni, First Son Muhoozi Kainerugaba and Speaker Anita Among on Tik Tok last year.

 

His worship Edgar Tibayeita told the accused person that:

 

“We shall tell you whether you need to defend yourself or not. If you need to, then the lawyer will probably tell court, if you don’t need to do so, then that will be the end. We are going to review the evidence and decide whether it’s sufficient for you to be required to defend self,” His Worship Edgar Tibayeita informed the accused in court.

 

Madubarah is charged with hate speech and spreading malicious information about President Yoweri Museveni, first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and Speaker Anita Among.

 

Prosecution states that in October last year while in Wakiso district, Juma Musuuza alias Mudhubala using his Tik Tok account Madubarah UG through a computer sent or shared information which is likely to ridicule, degrade or demean the president , his son and the Speaker of the Parliament.
