Fresh details regarding the death of the married couple who were stabbed to death by an unknown goons on Sunday, July 6th 2025 have emerged.
The couple identified as David Mutaaga and his lovely wife Deborah Mutaaga Nabeeta is said to have returned from a kyeyo stint after 30 years in Zurich, Switzerland and decided to retire at their residence in Nakiwogo zone.
Police have confirmed the couple was murdered by stabbing at 9pm on July 6th, 2025.
Police revealed that David Mutaaga’s body was found at his gate while his lovely wife Deborah was found lying lifeless in the couple’s bathroom.
According to info gathered at the scene of murder, that there was no forced entry at the couple’s residence. All doors were intact implying that the killers had a smooth access to the premises and probably are believed to have already been around the couple’s residence.
Earlier in day on Sunday July 6, 2025, the couple had hosted some guests for a get together family party. It’s reported they hired two casual laborers to help them prepare for the guests during the day but later in the evening, left the departed couple in their marital bedroom for unfinished business.
How the killers entered the couple’s residence
Sources say the killers currently at large, could have entered the couple’s home by climbing the perimeter wall using an electric pole near the fence. They found David Matugga sitting in the sitting room tanking litters of liquor and told him that : ”Am here to kill you, the killer first stabbed him in the foot, when David made alarm his wife who was upstairs heard and peeped to see what was happening, she saw the killer and started calling relatives and friends to inform them how they had been attacked.
The killer reportedly dragged David to the gate with a sharp knife placed on his neck and ordered him to open the gate using the code, after opening, he stabbed him with his sharp knife in the heart killing him instantly.
One of the killers then went back to the house and climbed upstairs and broke into the bedroom. The killer found the wife talking on phone and immediately stabbed her in the heart and killed her instantly. Mutaaga’s wife who was seeking help was talking to someone by the time the thug broke into their house. Her phone dropped down but the call was still active and the person on the other end heard everything the killer said.
According to CCTV footage, the killer didn’t steal anything from the couple not even a phone but was interested in their lives.
