Eddy Kenzo Urges Bebe Cool to Channel Energy Into Music, Not Attacking Fellow Musicians

Date:

Big Talent Boss Eddy Kenzo has hit back at Bebe Cool for his recent comments undermining his position and contribution towards fighting for the Copyright Law.

In one of his recent interviews, Bebe Cool revealed Kenzo was speaking “out of ignorance” on issues concerning Uganda’s copyright management system. This didn’t sit well with Kenzo, who addressed journalists this morning about the matter.

Kenzo, who was visibly upset, revealed that he, along with other artists, has worked so hard to release songs that have, fortunately, been loved by music consumers. However, as soon as their songs go viral, he claims that Bebe Cool uses this chance to attack them so that he stays in the news.

After our songs go viral, he will then jump on that artist whose song is trending to stay relevant. That is what he has been doing all through the years. He always jumps on people who are trending so that they talk about him. I advise him to get back to the studio and make good music. People jam to it, so he stays relevant through music, not by attacking other people, he said.

Eddy Kenzo further promised that the particular interview would be the last time he addressed matters concerning Bebe Cool, as he didn’t want to give him any more relevance. He acknowledged that Bebe Cool’s children were his friends and he wouldn’t want them to see him disrespect their father.

I wouldn’t want to say much about Bebe Cool, and this is my very last time. We do our music, meanwhile, and he is not even sure whether he is singing in Luganda or English. After working hard on our music that people love, he just comes and speaks ill of us. His children are my friends, and I don’t want to abuse him. I appeal to Bebe Cool’s family to forgive me for saying this. Your person is foolish, he said.
