Eddy Kenzo Denies Rift With Gravity Omutujju, Shares His Early Support in Shaping His Career

Date:

Big Talent boss and UNMF President Eddy Kenzo has addressed the alleged feud with Luga Flow rapper Gravity Omutujju.

For the past few days, a video captured at one of the NRM campaign rallies has been making the rounds on social media, showing an awkward moment between Bebe Cool, Eddy Kenzo, and Gravity Omutujju.

In the video, Bebe Cool introduced Gravity Omutujju, who came to perform his ‘Winner’ song. In the process, Eddy Kenzo also grabbed a microphone and rushed before the crowd to sing for the cheering fans.

Netizens insinuated that there was a rift between the artists, something Eddy Kenzo quickly brushed off. While addressing the media, the Big Talent boss noted that the propaganda was being spread by malicious people who do not know their background and how he made him (Gravity).

According to Kenzo, before Gravity became famous, he was just like any other artist who had followed him around, hoping he would one day give him a listening ear.

After numerous failed attempts, Gravity went through Eddy Kenzo’s aides, who pleaded with their boss to make time to watch Gravity Omutujju sample his music.

Eddy Kenzo revealed that during their first meeting in Wandegeya, he realized Gravity had talent and wanted to polish him. He arranged a studio session with producer Rinex and had Gravity record his very first song, ‘Walumbe Zaaya’, which opened the door to fame for him.

They want to turn me against Gravity Omutujju, not knowing that I made him. Previously, Gravity used to follow me around a lot, asking for time, but I was swamped, just like people follow me here. One day, he went through my boys, who told me there was someone they wanted me to give a chance to, and asked me to listen to him sing. They pleaded with me to go up and see him, and he got his ‘Walumbe Zaaya’ track and sampled it. I was so happy with what he sang and invited him to come back the next day. I took him to producer Rinex, and we even entered the booth together because I wanted to guide him. He was starting by then; he was good but lacked a particular element.
