Eddy Kenzo Confirms Return to UNMF Leadership After Says The Federation Issues Have Been Resolved

Date:

Musician Eddy Kenzo has retracted his statement about retiring, saying his issues had now been handled and was ready to resume with his duties as president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF).

Eddy Kenzo while speaking in a YouTube interview yesterday midway through the campaigning in the Acholi region revealed to viewers that after his outburst, he got numerous calls from both the federation members and the higher powers requesting him not to resign.

Through an emergency online meeting, the Big Talent star reveals they came to an agreement and he won’t be going forward with his initial plans of laying down his working tools.

“I talked with members in an online meeting and they told me not to resign. They told me first to wait before I make the decision. I also got some calls from the higher powers that govern us and they requested me to wait, promising all shall be well. They have helped to handle it and all is well now. We are good; I’m still here and we are going to work,” he said

Yesterday, Eddy Kenzo sent social media into a frenzy after an audio leaked online with him threatening that he was letting go of his position because of the confusion and disorganization.

Kenzo blamed the ministry of gender for playing politics in the UNMF and holding onto the money and trying to change its course of distribution through the federation like it had initially been planned.

While addressing how the audio got to the public, Eddy Kenzo revealed that he was addressing the inner circle of the federation but a traitor whom he didn’t reveal leaked the conversation.

“It is good the voice note leaked because now I know we have rats in the circle. I was trying to address the members but like you know, it is a group of many people, we always have traitors and people who are not straight,” he said.
